Red Hot Chili Peppers Come Back

Red Hot Chili Peppers come back again on the road next year to support their comeback
album "I'm With You". The West Coast band fronted by Anthony Kiedis announce that they will embark on a world tour and launch it with a North American leg starting January 2012.

Six dates of the upcoming tour have been officially revealed. Tickets for the confirmed shows are going to be made available for purchase beginning December 3. The other shows will be announced in the coming weeks along with info about ticket on-sale dates.

Although the upcoming tour will be their first jaunt since hiatus, the band actually had held a handful of warm-up dates. Just before the album release, they played a secret show on the lawn outside the Henry Miller Memorial Library in Big Sur, CA. They followed it up with other gigs including Japan's Summer Sonic fest.

Here are some about Red Hot Chili Peppers is an American rock band. They formed in Los Angeles in 1983. The group's musical style primarily consists of rock with an emphasis on funk, as well as elements from other genres such as punk, hip hop andpsychedelic rock. The band consists of founding members Anthony Kiedis(vocals) and Michael "Flea" Balzary (bass), alongside longtime drummer Chad Smith and recently added guitarist Josh Klinghoffer.

The band's original line-up featured guitarist Hillel Slovak and drummer Jack Irons, albeit not playing on the debut album, The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Cliff Martinez was the drummer for the first two records, filling in for Irons, and guitarist Jack Sherman played on the first only. Slovak performed on two albums with the band, Freaky Styley and The Uplift Mofo Party Plan; he died of a heroin overdose in 1988, resulting in Irons' departure.
